NATAL/FORTALEZA

This is one of the few stretches of coastline of which almost all is accessible by vehicle, allowing us a unique opportunity to sample some of the most beautiful and deserted beaches in the world.

The first two days are spent in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, with stopovers in Praia do Marco and the Hotel Termas in Mossoro. During this stage we will visit forty-five beaches, a Salinas and Mangue, (Mangrove swamp).

Leaving Mossoro we visit the last few beaches in RN before crossing the border into the state of Ceara. Cliffs of coloured sand start to take over the scenery as we approach Canoa Quebrada for our stopover. A special mention here for Ponta Grossa, red Cliffs, lush vegetation, golden sands, deep blue sky and a warm placid sea.

Heading off for Fortaleza, the coastline becomes more populous the closer we get to the city. We have visited ninety beaches of all types, mostly deserted in our four days. Each person has his or her own favorite for whatever reason, I know I do and I am the only one who goes there.
