BRAZILIAN SORTEIO  Win a free vacation .. take a chance

ABTC - the Andetur Brazilian Travel Club, is associated with some of Brazil's premier travel professionals. The best kept vacation secret in the world is Brazil. Whether you enjoy nature, the beach, fishing or scuba diving, Brazil is breathtaking. From the wonders of the Amazon basin, to the beaches of the Northeast, the majesty of Itaipú, the roar of Iguaçu at "Garagantua del Diablo", to the underground lakes of the interior, the Pantanal or the dry weather of the Cerrado, Ipanema; the variety is awesome.

Most important are the people - they are as diverse as the land.

Then there is the food and drinks: Feijoada, Churrasco, Vatapá, Moqueca, a nice cafézinho after lunch, a refreshing Caipirinha. Then there is Futebol! Carnival in Rio! What are you waiting for? The best time to visit is the US winter months.

From now on, all sorts of travel in Brazil -- for pleasure, education, sport, business, adventure or pure escape -- will be more enjoyable than you thought possible.

The first company to be set up in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, to international standards, ABTC offers top quality, concerning equipment and services, "soft adventures" on a comfortable basis, and deems to serve a wide range of clients, not only the young and athletic.

Frutas do mar - seafood at its best.
In the United States, ABTC is associated with Incentive Connection Travel, Inc., located in Phoenix, Arizona. ICT is the largest professional Independent Travel Agent host agency in the world.
ABTC's distinction on the Internet is that we are backed by experienced travel consultants that have traveled the country from Amapa to Rio Grande do Sul -- not a faceless computer booking engine that can only react based on the tables in its database.

Our consultant and specialist staff are experts in leisure and vacation travel. They are professional consultants and experienced tour operators, putting themselves above the mere order-takers of typical travel agencies and phone banks.

You will be traveling with a company that knows the best local guides and experts.  Best of all you'll be traveling with Brazilians who are happy to share the kind of knowledge and details you'd share with visitors to your own home.

BRAZIL 2000

"Our staff is on duty 24 hours a day! Nothing interferes with our sworn duties to our clients." said Capt. Don before he misterously disappeared.

Our personally selected, world-wide network of local travel operators works like a charm when you want custom travel. A personal guide in the Pantanal or Amazon? English speaking driver in Rio? Translator for the business ventures? Most agents abandoned this level of service 50 years ago, but you can still find it as an ABTC Member.
We screen thousands of offers to bring you our best finds. Our ABTC - Andetur Brazilian Travel Club and Select Investment and Vacation Rental Properties programs offer you the finest in light or serious adventure tours and reasonable accommodations with special benefits available only through our members. Our company is a full service agency offering travel packages to the island of Fernando de Noronha as well as airplane trips, car and dune buggy rentals.
We can offer tours to visit the "top eco-destinations" in Brazil and abroad, like: the Fernando de Noronha Island (a divers, surfers and birdwatchers paradise), Pantanal (the biggest seasonally flooded lowland savanna in the world with an incredible fauna), the Amazon Rain Forest, river boat tours and, in the south, Iguaçu Falls, among others.
We prefer to operate with small groups (2 to 12 people - bigger groups will be sub-divided into 12 guests' groups with 1 guide to each group) as we wish to provide personal attention to each client. We take great pride in tailoring each trip to meet your individual needs and interests. Our itineraries are designed with exploration and discovery in mind with a balance of structure and free time.
ABTC operates air conditioned vans, minibuses, buses and four wheel-drive vehicles. The choice of vehicle varies according to the destination and the number of people involved.

NORTHEAST BRAZIL
Internationally known for its beautiful beaches and sand dunes, the Brazilian Northeast is a region with its own identity, that holds many strange secrets for the discerning tourist in its little-known interior. We are a result of a mixture of many races and cultures ... a sincere smile, primitive fishing rafts, "forró" (For All) dancing, accordion music, leather goods, lace handicrafts, hammocks, and other goods which are characteristic of the region. Also, unique are the culinary delights made of flour, tapioca, brown sugar and coconut sweets, sun-dried beef, lobsters, crabs, coconuts, cashew nuts and regional fruits. Cold, pollution, traffic, stress ... you'll quickly forget!

Natal, located in the center of the Northeast coast, is the ideal starting point for those who want to get to know this region. Genipabu, Pipa, Fernando de Noronha, João Pessoa, Recife, Olinda and Fortaleza are all accessible from this city. The beaches of white and warm sands are synonymous with "carefree" and "recreation".

Known as "the city of sun", Natal offers the most for tourists in the northeast. The temperature is comfortable... an average of 26º C... with a constant breeze and sunny days. According to NASA, the air here is considered to be the most pure in the Americas.
Visit the beaches along the south coast, and see the "Largest Cashew Tree in the World", take a dip in the natural pools of Pirangi, enjoy dolphin-watching at Tabatinga beach, "giboiando" (relaxing) in the lagoons of Camurupim, riding jet-skis at Arituba Lake and WOW, if you're still alive, exploring the cave of Pedra Ôca (The Hollow Rock).
Take a dune buggy or jeep ride along the northern coastline until you reach Cabo de São Roque (Cape of Saint Roque), the part of Brazil closest to Africa.

In Genipabu, 30 km from Natal, we have the Pousada Villa do Sol, which offers a clean, relaxing atmosphere, right on the beach.

In Natal we have the Manary Praia Hotel, whose owner is a professional guide providing escorted ecological and cultural tours. His service - Manary Ecotours - specializes in excursions to archeological and paleothological sites, national parks, colonial architecture, deserted beaches and Northeast Brazilian culture.

In the Amazon the weather is always changing and there are special things to see and do at different times of the year. Normally the rainy season from January to July is the best time to visit for boat travel and canoeing- the weather is cooler, and there are short daily rain showers. The dry season is between August and December. It may be hotter and drier then but it is a good time for trekking and fishing, and there are beautiful white sand beaches along the Rio Negro to enjoy.

To the south of the Amazon basin in Brazil lies one of the world’s least known but most extraordinary natural areas: The Pantanal. It is an enormous grassland covering over 89,000 square miles, the approximate area of Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland combined. In some ways it is comparable to the savannas of Africa with its vast prairies divided by lazy meandering rivers forested at the waters edge. The Pantanal is also teeming with life.
Along the rivers among the trees there are clouds of birds that chatter and cavort in rookeries of thousands of nests. There are countless caiman [South America's crocodiles] lounging and snoozing on the beaches in full view and rather unconcerned about our presence. Herds of 150 pound capybara, giant guinea-pig-like rodents, graze near the waters edge pausing only to glance at us with their slightly timid looks. Roaming the sea of grass from horizon to horizon is a fantastic collection of mammals like Giant Anteater, Jaguar, Marsh Deer and wild Peccaries.

The wildlife of the Pantanal is spectacular and our stay there is in a comfortable lodge with a very well thought through natural history program. An extraordinary place that everyone interested in nature must sometime in their lifetime visit.

While at the lodge we spend our days exploring the small rivers and streams that drain this vast wetlands. There are excursions across the broad savanna by four wheel drive vehicle. A number of our passengers have been able to walk through the knee high grass to closely observe Giant Anteaters with their three foot long snouts that have a tiny mouth at the end. Expect to see clouds of bright pink spoonbills, hundreds of large caiman lying on the shore, howler monkeys and spider monkeys cavorting in the tree tops and herds of the worlds largest rodent, the capybara, lounging on the river banks.
This trip consists of travel by plane to south central Brazil and drive for another 4-6 hours on a raised roadway across and enormous Savannah. While at the lodge guests spend their days exploring by aluminum skiff the small rivers and streams that drain this vast wetlands. There are also drives across the vast grassland by four wheeled drive vehicles and optional horseback riding. Visitors can expect to see clouds of bright pink spoonbills, hundreds of large caiman lying on the shore, howler monkeys and spider monkeys cavorting in the tree tops and herds of the worlds largest rodent, the capybara, lounging on the river banks. The accommodations are very comfortable and the staff professional and organized

From the high peaks of the Andean mountains to the lush Amazon rainforest, South American Expeditions (SAE) invites you on the expedition of a lifetime.

South American Expeditions is a woman-owned company offering quality tours throughout the year.   These tours are arranged and conducted by the owner, Mili Sangama or a qualified SAE representative.  Mili Sangama is a native of Peru and has explored the country extensively guiding numerous adventure trips.

You will be traveling with a company that knows the best local guides and experts.  Best of all you'll be traveling with Peruvians who are happy to share the kind of knowledge and details you'd share with visitors to your own home.

To make your trip as fulfilling as possible our groups are limited to a maximum of fifteen participants.  By traveling with a small group you will have access to isolated areas that traditional tourists rarely enter.  This also allows for the greatest intimacy with the locals whom you will be meeting in their work settings and their homes.

We take great pride in tailoring each trip to meet your individual needs and interests. Our itineraries are designed with exploration and discovery in mind with a balance of structure and free time.

We also  have other tour operators serving these areas.  We try to match the operator with the client on a personal basis with the objectives of achieving his or her personal wishes.
