All about Commissions
Paid to Andetur Brazilian Travel Club from Travel Vendor
Travel
vendors such as airlines, hotels, rental car companies, etc. pay travel
agencies a commission based on the amount of travel service purchased.
Andetur Brazilian Travel Club is licensed as an International Travel
Agency and as a Tour Operator licensed in Brazil. Commissions vary greatly
between travel vendors. These commissions are calculated on the amount
spent on travel prior to taxes, port charges, insurance, etc. Since
Andetur is an
International agency, we can book any type of travel or vacation anywhere.
Commissions are different depending on the type of travel booked.
Generally
speaking, hotels, rental car companies, tour companies, and cruise lines
pay 10% commission to normal travel agencies. Most airlines now pay
5% commission of the base fare with a maximum of $25 US ($35 CAN) per
one-way ticket and $50 US ($70 CAN) per round-trip ticket in the United
States for domestic travel. International travel varies, but is usually
more if purchased thru a consolidator.
Andetur
USA operates both as a consolidator and as a tour operator. We 'wholesale'
packages to regular travel agencies. The Travel Club is different in
the fact that members purchasing shares of the club are in fact prepaying
all of the services, fees and commissions normally charged by a normal
agency. And by 'sheer volume' of our membership base ... we are able
to negociate very good discounts for our membership.
