The Northeast has miles and miles of beautiful, lonely, unihabited beaches. One of Capt. Reid's side tours is to spend one or two days touring the many miles of remote beaches in Rio Grande do Norte by 'beach buggy'.
A new venture in Brazil is canoe trips and sea kayak trips. More common are motorized launches for trips to the interior. The idea of canoe expeditions or kayak touring, however, has a lot of appeal .. and should be an interesting actvity as it develops.
One of the hottest new ideas is hiking or trekking through the Brazilian highlands. Some of these trips originate from Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, traveling by bus from Brazilia to the camps where the treks operate from. Other trips are organised through out the country.
