The Brazil Air Pass offered by* Varig Airlines, TAM Brazilian Airlines and Transbrasil is the most practical and economical way to travel within the country.

 

Available only to foreigners and Brazilians residing abroad (we can only sell the Air Pass for those departing from the USA or Europe) holding a round trip ticket to Brazil. Pass is not transferable; only one Air Pass per passenger and it must be purchased before departure from the USA or Europe.

 
It is valid for 21 days from the date of the first used flight coupon . Flights must be booked and confirmed for whole itinerary. Other restrictions may apply. Currently there are three kinds of Air Pass available:

  Valid for a maximum of 21 days from date of first domestic flight.  Passengers traveling to Brazil with any airline can purchase TAM air pass
  Transbrasil Air Pass
For travel to any destination in Brazil served by Transbrasil Airlines		 Up to 5

+ $40.00 service fee

If you are not travelling to Brazil on Transbrasil, the cost will be $600

  Valid for a maximum of 30 days from date of first domestic flight. Fot the cheaper price, the passenger must fly to Brazil with Transbrasil only.  Passengers traveling to Brazil with any airline can purchase Transbrasil air pass

 

Questions regarding Air Passes

Q: Can I buy a Brazil Air Pass if I am in Brazil?
A: No, Air pass must be purchased outside of Brazil in conjunction with an international ticket to Brazil.


Q: Can two people share the same air pass?
A: No, only one person may use an air pass.


Q: I am not in the United States. Can I buy the air pass from you?
A: Yes, but note that normally you must purchase the air pass in the country you are departing from. If you are travelling from another country to the United States and from here into Brazil, then you may purchase the pass, OR if you are booking your entire travel package from the club ... the air pass could be included.


Q: I work for an airline and I am flying to Brazil on a standby basis. Can I purchase the Brazil Air Pass?
A: No, you must have a positive space airline ticket to purchase the Air pass.


Q: Can I use more than one airline for the Air pass flights within Brazil?
A: No, you have to choose one airline for all flights. In some cases such as Varig Airlines, you can also fly on their affiliate regional airlines like RioSul or Nordeste.

Q: Can I get a partial refund If I do not use all flight coupons?
A: No. The air pass is refundable only if totally unused. No partial refunds. A penalty fee applies to process a refund.

Q: Can I travel to Argentina or other South American countries using the Brazil air pass?
A: No. The Brazil air pass is valid only for travel within Brazil. Check out the Mercosul Air Pass!

Q: Is there a discount for children?
A: No discounts are provided for children using the Brazil Air Pass.

Q: After I purchase the air pass, can I change the flights?
A: Once ticketed, there will be a penalty fee for changes.

Q: Can I purchase an "open ticket" and book my flights in Brazil?
A: No. All flights must be booked and confirmed before you purchase the pass.

Brazil Air Pass I

Up to five flight coupons valid for travel between any five destinations for only US $580 (discounted for club members) . Additional flight coupons may be purchased for US$100 each - up to four. Pass is not transferable ( two people may not share the same pass)

Brazil Air Pass II (may be discontinued)

Up to four flight coupons valid for travel between any destination within South , Southeast and Central West Brazil for only US$385. Pass is not transferable ( two people may not share the same pass)

Brazil Air Pass III (may be discontinued)

Up to four flight coupons valid for travel between any destination within Northeast of Brazil for only US$325. Travel may originate and/or terminate in Rio or São Paulo for an extra $75.00 each way. Pass is not transferable ( two people may not share the same pass)

The Air Pass fares shown above are good for travel during low season. For travel during high season (from 10 December to 29 February or from 25 June to 25 July) - please add US$50. The Air Pass II and III are presently not offered ... but we continue to list them in the hopes they will return to the market.
